15 Bible Verses About Peace
In the last two weeks, I was able to recharge my mind, body, and spirit. I traveled back to my hometown, the great steel city of Pittsburgh, and had several days of quality time with my family. Talk about a natural high.
After that trip, I was blessed to enjoy downtime and freedom from my everyday adulting responsibilities. I spent time in Fort Lauderdale with my aunt and cousin for a couple of days. I did absolutely nothing but rest. No cooking, no cleaning, no working, nor parenting. Just pure rest.
The last couple of days, I hung out with my girls at the beach. I’d say the beach is probably one of my favorite places to be. If I could sit on the beach every day, I would be in heaven.
The heat from the sun, the refreshing water, and the sound of the waves against the shore was EVERYTHING! I can never get enough of it.
One late afternoon as the sun was going down, we sat on the beach and relaxed until it was too dark to stay there. As we walked away from the water, we noticed the sound of the water diminishing. The closer we came to the main strip and our hotel, the less peaceful the atmosphere.
It can be difficult to have peace when our surroundings are busy and chaotic. But thank God, He is Jehovah Shalom (Judges 6:24).
We can always find peace when we draw nigh to God. After all, He is the Living Water that created the water of the sea (Psalm 33:7). That means He is the source of our peace.
The word “peace” appears 275 times in 250 verses in the CSB translation. That’s far too many to list here but I want to share with you 15 Bible verses about peace below.
